Fabulous in Fall!

Summer was so flippin hot! Hannah just couldn't wait for fall, and here it is! Cool temperatures, leaves on the ground, this is the life! We have both been sick the last few days, but we were chomping at the bit to get out of the house and we woke up feeling ALL BETTER this morning, so we got all dolled up and hit the town. Well, we ran some boring errands, but we looked darn good doing it! Hannah wore her new favorite outfit, the shoes she's been DYING to put on (thanks, Nanny Barb!), and her denim jacket (thanks, Titi Gloria!). We got through most of the day and she was miraculously still clean, so I decided to take some pics. Sorry I've been slacking, but usually by the time I even think about a photo shoot, she's covered in marker or food from head to toe. We had fun just hanging out in front of the house at the end of our day.

Brooklyn Botanic Gardens!

Today started out as a lazy day. I was seriously considering canceling our plans to head to the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens and save it for next week, but my little sister came home from her last day of school feeling pretty down about saying goodbye to all of her friends, so I said LET'S GO! I packed up some juice boxes and PB&Js and we were off! I was a little concerned that we would get lost trying to figure out the subway (I stick to the PATH as much as I can), but we found everything just fine and looked like old pros!

Hannah is obseessssssed with flowers, so what better place to take her? To our great surprise, they even had FISH (her love of flowers in only exceeded by her love of fish)! I thought I would have my same jaded attitude that I have toward most things, but I was overwhelmed by how beautiful it was there. I haven't been there in ages, so I had forgotten. We wandered around for 5 hours and never got bored. There was plenty of flora and fauna to be seen. We even caught a couple shots of some turtles, a bunny, and some baby ducks following their mommy! We left some stuff unseen, so we can go back next week! Yay!

It was a muggy day, and very warm, so Hannah rocked her white tank and shorts from Baby Gap to stay cool. Everyone at the BBG thought she was adorable (except the lady that yelled at her for touching the flowers... bitch). Well, ENJOY!

First time on the subway!

Bubbles, and Flowers, and Whales-- OH MY!

The rain held back today and the sun even peaked through the clouds for a couple hours (we needed to break out the sun block!). Hannah's brother, Antonio, is spending the day with us so we decided to take advantage of the good weather and play outside. First we spent some time in the front, playing with chalk and bubbles, and then we moved to the backyard to run in the grass and smell the flowers! Hannah just loves the flowers and Antonio loves bubbles so we all had a blast.

Antonio was sporting his New York Yankees gear and his black Air Jordans. He was a real baseball player today! And Hannah was staying cool in her striped shorts with front pockets and her cream colored whale shirt. He even has a googley eye! Hannah thinks that is the coolest part. We were playing with chalk, so Hannah just wore her comfy brown suede shoes because they are the easiest to clean off (but they also get the most chalk on them =/ ). Of course, she is also rockin' her Amber teething necklace (more on that in a future post) because we never take it off-- especially not while all these molars are coming in! YIKES!

Both brother and sister had a great time playing today, and now they are both knocked out and napping. Ahhhh... what's that sound? That's right. Nothing. I LOVES ME A GOOD NAP TIME! heheh later, all!

Little Leopard =)

Nothing beats the park on a warm Spring day. Nothing except a killer leopard get-up and some flashy flower flip flops! Yeah. You heard me. Hannah spent the day in this adorable black & pink leopard print outfit. It has a "fashion" hot pink sequin belt across the middle and the black capris have hot pink sequins at the bottoms of the legs. Everyone loved this little number that my good friend Janhvi bought for Hannah. She knows how Jersey Shore we can be with our love of animal prints, so she just couldn't resist! This was the perfect outfit to play in while still looking fabulous!

Pajama Princess

So I'm on a total roll tonight. After tubby time, as we were picking out PJs for the evening, it dawned on me: my child is fierce even in her SLEEP. Seriously, her pajamas make me look like a hobo.

Tonight, in true Hannah fashion, she grabbed for her go-to pink tutu nightgown from Baby Gap. This thing is adorable and covered in pink stars and has a super soft (not scratchy at all) tutu bottom that makes Hanny feel like a ballerina all night long (and most of the morning if we're feeling lazy). I'm not a loony toon for putting a bow in her hair. I take it out once she's in bed, but her bouncy, unruly curls fall in her face without one and make her throw a fit. She was lounging in my bed reading her book The Runaway Bunny when I came in to snap a few shots. Enjoy!

"So the bunny RUNS AWAY...fascinating."

Easter Baby

The weather has been SO icky and rainy all week long, so we haven't been able to get out and show off our stuff. But fear not! We have back-up fashion photos on hand! Without further ado, Hannah's Easter:

The weather was gorgeous and it was Hannah's first time on the new grass in our yard. She had a blast running back and forth! This Easter dress was a present from her Aunt Mary Ann who has WONDERFUL taste! Hannah was so excited to wear it. She begged me for weeks to put it on. Every time I opened the closet she would squeal with delight. She didn't even want to take it off that night to take a bath. Oh Hannah, you're a character!

The dress has a precious white flower on the front and a big floppy bow in the back. Clean, crisp, and classic.
